After Chris Bosh missed seven games with an ankle injury, the
Toronto Raptors expected him back in the lineup Friday, but a stomach
ailment sidelined the all-star forward.
Just hours before tipoff, Bosh left the Air Canada Centre and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with severe stomach cramps.
"He was admitted as a precautionary measure with a stomach virus and
dehydration prior to our game versus New York," said team spokesman Jim
Labumbard.
Bosh, who leads the team in points (24.5), rebounds (11.4) and
minutes (36.4), was released from hospital around 10:30 p.m. Friday
evening.
According to Labumbard, Bosh will be available for Sunday’s matinee against the Philadelphia 76ers (CBC Sports, Noon ET).
“He practised today and is expected to dress for Sunday’s game versus Philadelphia.”
The Raptors have struggled since losing Bosh, losing five of seven
games before the team's 102-96 home win over the Knicks on Friday.
