The Toronto Raptors have finally landed Lithuanian forward Linas Kleiza, whose reported four-year deal worth $18.8 million US became official on Monday.

Toronto signed Kleiza to an offer sheet on July 8, and the Denver Nuggets declined to match the deal, paving the way for the six-foot-eight, 245-pounder's move to the Raptors.

Kleiza, 24, spent last season with Olympiakos in Greece and was one of the top players in Europe during the season. He was second in Euroleague scoring, averaging 19.7 points as Olympiakos made it all the way to the European championship.

"We are very happy to add a tough-minded, hard-nosed forward who will certainly get a chance to contribute given the departure of Hedo Turkoglu," said Raptors president and GM Bryan Colangelo in a news release.

"Linas has that unique inside/outside game that makes him a tough cover at a couple of different positions."

Kleiza spent 2005-09 with the Nuggets, averaging 8.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in that time.

Terms of the deal were not officially released by the club.
