Despite a sub par pre-season, the Dallas Cowboys have seen enough of Tony Romo and will give their quarterback the night off for Thursday's fifth and final exhibition game.
Coach Wade Phillips said Romo, who's only guided the team to one offensive touchdown through the first four pre-season games, won't be suiting up against the Miami Dolphins.
Instead, third-string QB Stephen McGee will get the start.
Phillips said "selected starters" will play, meaning players will start at positions where the team is dealing with key injuries.
It's still unclear whether or not rookie Dez Bryant will see action Thursday night.
The talented first-round receiver suffered a high ankle sprain in training camp and has not played in any of the Cowboys' pre-season games.
