What 99.99% of poker players would consider a once in a lifetime score, Matt Gianetti will likely consider his $273,200 payday for winning the inaugural WPT Malta Main Event a very nice warm-up for a much more prestigious tournament, as the young poker pro has his eyes set on the $9 million first place prize at the World Series of Poker Main Event final table, of which he is a part of. The 240 player field at the WPT Malta was full of big name players, so navigating his way through the tournament was no easy task for Gianetti or any of the other final table participants, and as with any poker tournament (or any real money poker game for that matter)a good run of cards and a little luck never hurt the cause! One of the final table participants Fabian Sartoris was a textbook example when his Q-T eliminated Tony G on an Ace-high flop with Tony G holding A-4 –Sartoris would turn a Queen and river a Ten for the win! As players fell by the wayside on the final day of the tournament Saturday, Gianetti found himself up against Cecelia Pescaglini, who utterly crushed the tournament from Day 2 onward, but was unable to take out the November Niner Gianetti. Here is a look at how all of the final table participants in the 2011 WPT Malta Main Event: 1. Matt Giannetti — $273,200 2. Cecilia Pescaglini — $159,412 3. Filippo Bianchini — $104,936 4. Simon Trumper — $72,985 5. Tristan Clemencon — $54,381 6. Fabien Sartoris — $41,977 7. Christofer Williamson — $31,486 8. Mats Karlson — $22,894 Associated Press
