Phil Hellmuth is already making his presence felt at the 2011 World Series of Poker Europe, as the “Poker Brat” is currently amongst the final eight participants in Event #1, the €2,500 Six-Handed NLHE tournament. In addition to possibly padding his lead for the most WSOP bracelets of all-time –Hellmuth currently has 11 WSOP bracelets with Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan each possessing 10 bracelets—Hellmuth is also looking to overtake Ben Lamb for the 2011 WSOP Player of the Year award, as the WSOP Europe tournaments will count towards the POY race for the first time. Heading into the dinner break Hellmuth is the short-stack at the “unofficial” final table, having just doubled-up, only to double through another player the very next hand. Still, with about 15 big blinds in his stack Hellmuth is far from out of it at this time. Hellmuth is a bit steamed at this point, as the aggressive players continue to punish his open-raises, forcing the Poker Brat to fold quite a few hands –hopefully for Hellmuth’s sake he’ll choose the right time to make a stand, and not simply try to 4-bet with KX at some point. Here is a look at the current chip counts amongst the eight remaining players in the tournament: 1. Guillaume Humbert — 578,000 2. Roy Finlay — 483,000 3. Matan Krakow — 439,000 4. Azusa Maeda — 352,000 5. Adrien Allain — 308,000 6. Marton Czuczor — 205,000 7. Alexander Salabaschew — 178,000 8. Phil Hellmuth — 150,000
