If you like to play poker, the main ballroom at the Best Western Hotel is the place to be this weekend.

The hotel will be hosting the Pocono Poker Open, featuring three days of free No Limit Texas Hold 'Em. The fun begins at 7 p.m. Friday and continues until Sunday morning. Some 500 poker players are expected to attend.

All events are free and open to the public, with the exception of the World Tavern Poker Super Regional Championship.

Prizes for the free events include American Express Gift Cards valued at $100 as well as televisions, DVD players, clothing and poker gear.

The winner of the Super Regional event will win a travel and hotel voucher and badge to attend the World Tavern Poker Open, along with a seat in the World Tavern Poker Fall National Championship Game.

And depending how you do, you may want to attend Brownie's Hangover Helper Tournament on Sunday morning.

For more information, call Michael Beckenbach, tournament director, at 570 236-9435.
