Australia's former king of spin Shane Warne will keep his life after cricket kicking along on Sunday, launching Australia's richest poker event.

Warne will speak about his love of the game - poker not cricket - when he opens the Aussie Million Championship's 'No Limit Holdem' main event.

Last week, AFL footballer Brendan Fevola and tennis stars Mark Philippoussis and Andy Roddick joined the tournament touted as Australia's largest, richest and most prestigious poker event.

The championships's main event will be launched at Crown Casino with over 700 players fighting for a slice of the $8 million prize pool with a guaranteed first price of $1 million.
