AMARILLO -- Legendary poker player "Amarillo Slim" Preston was tied up in his home Sunday night and robbed of two shotguns, police said.

Preston, whose real name is Thomas Austin Preston Jr., returned from an outing to find the men in his house.

The robbers had two of his shotguns and took them when they left, Preston, 78, told police.

No one had been arrested as of Monday night.

Preston won the World Series of Poker in 1972 and was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 1992.

He co-wrote the book Amarillo Slim in a World Full of Fat People: The Memoirs of the Greatest Gambler Who Ever Lived with Greg Dinkin.
