Bigger Bets Bonanza

Online gambling is not what it used to be ten years ago. Heck, it isn’t even what it used to be last week. It’s bigger, badder, better. This we mean in only the most exciting meaning of bad, as in it’s so good it is actually bad.

But bigger? How come? Well, not only are there more players than before, the competition among the online casinos is more aggressive and benefiting to the players community, the prizes of course also bigger and often reaching the multi-zeros sums, there is another aspect of online gambling that is climbing through the roof.

The bets.

Of course, the norm remains small bets by regular gamblers who place a quarter or several pounds on a hand of poker and often walk away with humble earnings of tens or even hundreds of euros. But this week, a sport site reported it received a 50,000 euro bet.

The odds were not as high as one would imagine to justify such a gamble. Not at all as a matter of fact. They were a mere 1/100. The show, Big Brother, will have a housemate evicted tonight, Friday. The bettor put his good money on Nicky losing out. Did it really happen? Was it a wise 50,000 euros bet? What it was, for sure, was a big bet. No arguing with that.
