Supposedly, and this has to be said before anything else, as news from China can get twisted several times until it reaches our shores, a man was reported to have died at an Internet café, where he has been gambling for three days straight.

The 30 year old Chinese person was at a café in Guangzhou in the southern province of Guangdong in China, when he fainted while gambling online. By the time paramedics arrived it was too late to save him. The cause of death was officially stated as exhaustion.

In a natural response, all café users have left the place after the man was taken away in an ambulance, perhaps taking the day off.

No previous death was ever recorded to have to do with online gambling; certainly not with exhaustion from playing casino games. it serves as a signal - be careful, take it easy and do not overdo it. In other words, playing with caution is key for success, and for life.

There are several organizations that not only alert us of such dangers, but also take measures to help gamblers avoid such tragic scenarios. Gamcare and eCOGRA have both been researching and running campaigns that inform users and casinos alike of the dangers, and suggest ways to take precautions. Surely such a terminal incident is a warning sign for all.
