In what will be an industry first for the Czech Republic, lottery operator, Sazka, will launch a fun-gaming casino as politicians seek to legalize Internet gambling. Time is at a premium and with fierce competition expected in the gambling sector Sazka is eager to get a firm foothold on the market, should the ban be overturned.

Clever marketing
For now it's simply a fun-gaming portal that is being made available. But in future once brand recognition takes root and players are keen to gamble, the stakes will be raised and real money-bets will be offered.

The Parliament vote is expected to take place before the end of the year and, if it goes according to plan, then external competition will literally come streaming in.

One of Sazka's recent ventures is E-Sazka.cz - an online bet podium that enables gamers to make bets before placing them at Point Of Sale outlets. Featured games include Texas Hold'Em, Roulette and Blackjack.
