Online gaming in the USA is showing signs of potentially becoming a reality. The bigwigs of the casino world in Las Vegas, Harrah's Entertainment, are looking to develop and position themselves ahead of expectations to legalize online gaming.

PartyGaming experience
Former PartyGaming head honcho Garber, is slated to run the developmental division of Harrah's online division. Rumour has it that the appointment is sending shockwaves through the US online gaming fraternity. Expectations for a move towards legalization of online gaming are afoot and Harrah's wants to lead by example.

But it's the prestige and experience of Mitch Garber that has pundits excited. He headed one of the most influential market leaders in online gaming, a brand that owned PartyPoker among others. Mere talk of his association with Harrah's Entertainment has brought Las Vegas hopes for online gambling alive.

Hopes are high
Harrah's Entertainment CEO Mr. Loveman is of the opinion that Internet poker will be the first to be legalized, and sooner rather than later. With the World Series of Poker tournament gaining traction online poker play is a global phenomenon. Already Harrah's has established online sites in many regions including the European Union and the Caribbean nations.

Change is imminent
With liberal legislators presently approving all manner of bills in Congress, online casino advocates are hopeful that changes will be effected that will put into motion steps to legalize online gaming. From a taxable standpoint, the US government will significantly add to the billions of dollars in annual tax revenue from gambling.
