Caribbean gaming and entertainment company Caribbean Casino & Gaming Corp (CCGC) announced a deal with Tradewinds Broadcasting Corp. that will stream real time Texas Holdem tournaments action over the Internet and allow viewers to place bets.

Wagers will be the live players and include the outcome of individual hands as well as the outcome of the tournaments as a whole.

Unlike the situation today, were viewers watch the games not in real time but rather delayed and edited, online viewers will now experience the tournaments in actual live style. The value that will come of this is beyond mere entertainment: viewers will be engaged and able to place their wagers, not knowing the end result.

The interactive experience is planned to be in operation by late 2009, said Steven Swank, president of CGCC. It will then bring "a whole new dimension" to poker tournaments such as the World Series of Poker, in the words of Tradewinds Media Director, Allen Engebretsen.
