Framingham, MA – Michael Massey, of Westland MI won the second of seven World Series of Poker (WSOP) seat in Milwaukee’s Best Light free online “Texas Hold ‘Em Challenge” tournament. The promotion can be found at http://poker.milbestlight.com.
Massey, a 54 year old former marine won the first of seven World Series of Poker entries in the Milwaukee’s Best Light Texas Hold’em Challenge. An avid poker player, Michael says he learned patience from reading poker books “The strategy that best helped me was what T. J. Cloutier said in his book ‘build your chip stack slowly. Don’t try and win them all at once’ ”.
Michael worked that methodical strategy to the end when his opponent went all in with Js, 3c and Michael’s Ah,2h held up. Now, he will be headed to Vegas for the 2007 event and will have a chance to earn millions courtesy of Milwaukee’s Best Light.
Massey beat out thousands of online competitors to claim the second seat at the WSOP, a prize that includes round trip for two to Las Vegas during the summer of 2007, hotel accommodations and $1,000 spending cash. Over the next five weeks, Milwaukee’s Best Light will be giving away five additional seats to the 2007 WSOP, in the richest U.S.-based free online poker tournament.
Milwaukee’s Best Light’s “Texas Hold ‘Em Challenge” was developed by Boston-based Poker Creations, a wholly owned division of NLOP, Inc, “We wish Michael luck at the 2007 WSOP ” stated Michael Clebnik, COO of Poker Creations. “Our goal is to work with brands that recognize the explosion in poker interest and offer professional-grade US-compliant online poker promotions”. “Up until now US brands have had no way to connect with the online poker audience as the majority of online poker sites are offshore operators that are illegal in the US”.
“From a player’s perspective”, Clebnik added, “This is the absolute best chance you will have to win at seat at the WSOP. What could be better than free? We expect to have many similar brand-driven promotional tournaments in 2007”.
